Dandelion is one of the first single source honey of the season we can harvest and offer for sale, after the long Minnesota winter. It's not a plentiful honey, as only the strongest colonies can make early spring honey.
Savory Spring Honey is produced from nectar gathered solely during a short window when Buckthorn and Grey Dogwood are in bloom. Unlike mass-produced or blended honeys, this single-source honey reflects the true flavor of a specific time and place, highlighting the rich, maple-caramel notes unique to Minnesota’s late spring flora.
Our single-source approach protects the raw, unfiltered essence of the honey, preserving its natural enzymes, nutrients, and beneficial compounds. The result is a bold, savory-sweet honey that offers an authentic taste of early summer’s first blossoms.
Ames Farm is a small honey farm and apiary with 400 bee hives in 20 bee yard locations spread over central Minnesota. Our beekeepers and workers produce, extract and bottle our honey on our honey farm near Delano, MN.
